Size Guide

All measurements are body measurements in inches, not garment measurements. The garment itself is cut with ease on top of these.

How to measure

  • Bust / chest — around the fullest part, tape level and snug, arms down.
  • Waist — around the narrowest part of your torso, usually just above the navel.
  • Hip — around the fullest part, roughly 8 inches below the waist.
  • Shoulder — across the back, from the tip of one shoulder to the other.
  • Length — from the shoulder seam straight down to where you want the hem.

Keep the tape snug but not tight, and measure over light clothing. If you are between two sizes, take the larger one for anything structured — a jacket, a bandhgala, a fitted blouse — and the smaller for anything loose.

Saree blouses

Sarees are sold as free size — the drape suits every figure. The blouse piece that comes with it is unstitched fabric, so your tailor can cut it to your own measurements. Where we offer a ready blouse, it follows the women's table above.

Made to measure

Bridal lehengas, sherwanis and several festive pieces are cut to your own measurements. Order the piece, and we will contact you to take them properly. These take 6–8 weeks and, because they are made for you alone, cannot be returned.

Still not sure?

Send us your measurements and we will tell you which size to take. We would much rather do that than have you send something back.
